1. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:
Scheme Overview: Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana aims to provide pucca houses to all poor families with kutcha houses by the year 2022 (now this target is 2024). It is being run on different levels as Rural Housing Scheme and Urban Housing Scheme. There is a scheme called PMAY G for rural areas and PMAY-U for urban areas.
2. Ayushman Bharat Scheme:
Scheme Overview: Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a health scheme for economically weaker people. Under this scheme, all members of the eligible family get health insurance of 5 lakh vaccines. In this, the treatment or operation of any serious disease can be done free of cost in the registered hospital under this scheme.
3. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana:
Scheme Overview PMUY: Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, a woman from a poor family whose name is on the BPL ration card has been given a domestic LPG connection withn1 gas cylinder free under this scheme. So far, 9 crore families have been provided LPG gas connections under this scheme.
May 1 is celebrated as Ujjwala Diwas.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Adult women belong to any of the following categories.
- SC Households
- ST Households
- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin)
- Most Backward Classes
- Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY)
- Tea and Ex-Tea Garden tribes
- Forest Dwellers
- People residing on Islands and River Islands
- SECC Households (AHL TIN)
- Poor Household as per 14-point declaration
- Applicant must have attained 18 years of age.
- There should not be any other LPG connections in the same household.
- Adult women belong to any of the following categories.

4. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana
PMJDY Scheme OverviewThe need for bank accounts was felt on a large scale for financial inclusion in the country, many people did not have access to the bank. After the implementation of PMJDY, zero-balance bank accounts were opened for the poor and underprivileged people of the country.
The government’s welfare schemes were in operation in which there was widespread corruption and scams. Now the money from the government’s welfare schemes can be easily reached the general public with the help of these bank accounts.

5. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
PM kisan samman nidhi yojana is a central government scheme. Modi government started this scheme in 2018 and it has become operational from 01.12.2018. PM Kisan scheme is central government scheme to provide financial support to the poor and small farmer of the country. Farmers needs to various agricultural inputs like seeds, pactisides, and fertilizers for agricultural activities. It support to the marginal and small farmers when it launched on 24th Feb 2019 but after 01.06.2019 these scheme extended to all farmers families irrespective of the size of their land holdings.
PM Kisan Yojana
- The installment of ₹ 2000 will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
- It is a central sector scheme with 100% funding from central government of india.
- It becomes operational from December 01, 2018.
- According to PM Kisan scheme a financial support of ₹ 6000 per year in 3 installment of ₹ 2000.
- It will be provided to all land holding farmers in india.
- Installments transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers through DBT.
- All institutional land holders excluded from this scheme.
These welfare schemes have proved to be very important for small and middle class farmers.
