India's First Satellite, Aryabhata in Space

On April 19, India set a new record by sending its first satellite into space.

Today, India has completed 48 years of this achievement, this achievement was to send a satellite to space.

India launched its first satellite Aryabhata satellite in 1975 with the help of Russia. 

It was named after the famous astronomer Aryabhata who was completely designed in India 

It was an experimental satellite. Its weight was only 360 kg. Iy was on mission for 17 years. 

It was launched by a Soviet Cosmos 3M rocket from Kpustin Yar.
