Japanese moon mission lunar lander SLIM
Japan's lunar ladning mission called SLIM - Smart Lander for Investigating Moon.
H-IIA rocket carrying SLIM moon lander was launched at Tanegashima Space Center on the southwestern island of Tanegashima, Japan
Japan will be world’s 5th country to land on the lunar surface early next year according to Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)
It is the $100-million space mission is expected to reach the lunar surface by February 2024.

2 earlier lunar surface landing missions attempts by Japan failed in the last year.
